Paintings
There is nothing quite like putting pigment to a surface and creating something new. Whether it’s oil or acrylic, on canvas or board, the thrill of making never gets old. There are literally endless possibilities, and different days can lead in totally different directions. A couple of my recent themes are abstracted torsos, geometric facial profiles, and cats. Even when working on a flat surface, my love of three dimensional abstraction shows.
I’m moved by tribal works, by cubism, by modernism. Forms, shapes, colors… representations of how I see the world, not in specific detail but as forms interacting. Eclecticism by free association.
